Re: February 1,2,3, 2000: Beat Poet 1,2,& 3 (A Retrospective)

Courier probably -would- have been on the chopping block back in the day, but this is a different era. By now, it seems like those who are really looking for depth and engagement are in fact given wiggle room. Also, in some sense, archives -were- pruned from the nineties. But everybody's young at so...

Re: May 20, 2021: Character 23

I got to be honest that with all the talk of original characters going on lately, in this strip my genuine reaction was "aw, Vainglorious lost his lunch...." But I see what you're getting at. Like Uncle Sam in today's strip being questioned about racism is like the opposite from the original Uncle S...

Pretty sure even use of the word slut is a bit far in this forum for reference. Let's go with hoochie hahaha. Again they do sleep with each other once or twice, so for me I take it as a breakup. But hot damn you're right that Nique isn't Nique any longer. Slick clearly does real poetry. Squig's shir...

Re: Who's Still Friends with Who again?

I was going to mention in the other post, the reason Squig is also at the factory is because Uncle Sam took his busking money. Except Uncle Sam took his work money too so it makes no difference. I think he's there only for Slick and, as we can see, neither of them have even been at work lately. Crim...

Re: January 25-28, 2000: Matriarchy 1,2,& 3 (A Retrospective)

Isn't that incredibly dangerous to change with the world like that? Nique like dived headfirst into the Radfem and in essence did break up with Slick. He's the one who has to accept that. On the other hand, Slick didn't change, and maybe that's good, or at least for a reason. Sleaze may be trying to...

Re: An Honest Sinfest Critique

Twenty to thirty years*. People originally want Tat to make a new comic to cover this stuff but it seems Tat's mind really does operate in this comic's universe. What may actually occur is stuff such as Abby's identity would get formed through that very cacophony of Simpsons level character introduc...

Praise For This Week's Strips

I have to say Tat's been on fire with these ones, really covers the range of humor he's known for (Fireman Jesus for starters). The Sunday strip is accurate, the irony of safe spaces is they were really for people to -process- their pain, not run away from it. Certain demographics engage widespread ...

You can also just look for a highlight reel format but that isn't what I'm here to mention today. First today's strip of "what are YOUR pronouns" is something that I classically reply to with "whatever you want them to be." Secondly I refer the Blaxploitation one to the detective "Jim Slate: Big Bla...

Re: dude reviewing every sinfest strip from day 1

Of course strange to me is that I haven't been banned. I feel pretty controversial in these parts.... Then again, Mama's still around too so maybe I don't really know what I'm talking about. Phew. :) Take what you may from this, but I know a guy who totally rejected a notion that's supposed to make ...

One can only hope Vainglorious plans to show up at least. Though, his powers are all over the place....

Re: February 26, MMXXI 45

Yes the interesting part of this place is we do not exist in a silo. The multicultural aspect is here and we are at least halfway tolerant of extreme viewpoints what with the radical nature of this place and all. How ironic, huh? It often seems like the comic has taken on a life of its own, yes. I m...

Personal curiosity on what happened to him thus far? Given that he's the character with the ability to Zen Zap he could do all sorts of weirdness. I wonder which characters that would even work on right now.... The Dragon shows up to make sure the factories and giant robots are put out of commission...

Yeah he'll add in as many years as he's alive won't he? The ending may occur eventually. In the meantime, it seems to have hit its stride!

Re: Question.

Yeah it really feels like there are a host of new characters and like all the original cast save for three or four of them are pretty much just watching everything from the side. Even the Sisterhood and Kate. One Piece and South Park do come to mind in that those are cartoons where they haven't work...

Re: April 18, 2021: Narrative 51

Found a way to take the connection out in some sense. After today's strip I wonder about the state of the Sinfest universe. Predictions for the future? Vainglorious on his way over to wage war with D Man? More on Slick, L'il E, Francis...? Or perhaps just morose material for a while. Plenty of setup...
